ONE more

ONE Point. It is all that United needs to retain their premier legue title this season and to win three in a row.

A vital 2-1 victory away to Wigan last night was a huge relief for United on their pursue of the record 11th premier league title and 18 on overall title to goes level with Liverpool.

Wigan took an early lead on the first half after an unfortunate slip by Vidic.
On the second half, United pressed Wigan and got their reward right on hour-mark with a goal by Carlitos. A freak goal but United will take it. He used his right foot to scored with a flick and it was a funny but good goal. Then 4 minutes from time, Carrick scored a very good left-footed strike to the right corner of Wigan's goal. They were all looked tired towards the end, especially Ronaldo who squared a pass to Rooney on the process of the second goal. Was it a sign that he will leave United???I hope it won't be the case.

Finally, ONE more point needed. It will be a tricky task but I am sure United have a great chance to retain their title and they will do it.

A Date with Barca..

Two second leg matches, two very different match.

United were looking very confidence coming to their match againts Arsenal two nights ago. Coming to the Emirates with one goal advantage gave United a little breathing space before the Kick-off but as the whistle blew, Arsenal were looking sharp in the opening five minutes. Only to be stopped by two early goals by Park Ji-Sung and Ronaldo respectively. Both goals seems to came in a help of two Arsenal players even though the second goal was a rocket by Ronaldo. It stunt the Arsenal fans and manager as they seems to disbelieve of what they see in the Emirates. Ronaldo then scored the third goal before Van Persie scored the penalty goal for Arsenal late in the match. So, it was a fairly comfortable win for United with 4-1 aggregate result.

But, last night encounter between Chelsea againts Barcelona was a different story. Goalless draw at Nou Camp gave Chelsea the slight advantage before last night clash at Stamford Brigde. Michael Essien scored a stunning volley - and I really mean stunning- as early as the ninth minutes. Several penalty claimed by Chelsea as minimun as five of them but they were all denied by the Reff's decision. It seems to haunted them back as on the 93rd minutes, Andreas Iniesta scored the equalizing goal to give Barca a date with United later this month. The Barca bench were exploded as Chelsea fans were confuse whether this really happen or just a dream.

Many pundit and blogger said Chelsea were unlucky last night especially with the possibilities of Penalty. It might proved to be a great deal for Chelsea as they were fail to make it through.Mean while on Tuesday, a refferee from Italy also made an error-in my opinion- when he sent off Fletcher during the second half of United vs Arsenal. The more you see the replay, you will see that Darren got the ball-off Fabregas with the slightest of touch only for Fabregas to dive to convince the Reff. Lets hope United will give appeal to UEFA to allow Darren to play on the final as he was a star on both leg of their semi final matches.

This is it...

Almost there..

Another crucial three points were gain last night as United beat a troubled Boro side at the Riverside stadium by two goals to zero. Goals for United scored by the newly voted PFA player of the year, Ryan Giggs and Park Ji-Sung both in eachside of half time. This victory has really put United hands firmly on they title if they can win the rest of the matches left including one tricky match againts Arsenal at OT.

Boro who always caused troubled for United in the last few seasons just could not cope with the superiority of the champion. A bad defensive display has let Giggsy got the ball on the edge of the box without any marking what so ever. Giggs launched a left-footed shot that left Boro's goalkeeper standing. The veteran whose still going strong really still has the desire on winning the title as he always been there for United on the last 15 years or so.

Quite different with Giggs' goal, South Korean player Park scored a quite comfortable goal also with left foot after an exquisite move by United involving Scholes, Macheda, Giggs and Rooney. Park made a run through the heart of Boro's defense and stroke it first time. It was a great goal...

There is nothing else United should do but keep this run of form going and do not let any slip up. They are still have City and Arsenal to played so there is still chance that they will slip and lost their grip.
