Funny Moment..

Let's talk something off the pitch a little bit now. One in particular that has really catch my attention is the one that took place during the Reds visit to Seoul, South Korea. During their visit to the United Soccer School on the Ginseng Country, best pal,Evra and Ji-Sung Park found a way to spend time with Evra interviewing Park on MUTV.

It was a relax and funny interview with Evra asking some general questions like how Park feel about bringing United to his home country and what Park do to keep himself fit after a long trip from Europe to Asia when he must play for his National team.

The last question is the funniest in my opinion. Evra said to Park, "Why you don't like the English girl cause you always like the Korean woman?".Park laughed like I never see him laught before while gave an answer to the question. He responded,"Maybe they don't like me".

I think it was a great fun for them since it was a pre-season time. The hard and demanding season ahead will bring a lot of stress so maybe this kind of relaxation is exactly what they need.

You may check-out the full interview on You Tube or MUTV online.

Thank you United...

It almost been three weeks since that sad and unfortunate tragedy happened in Jakarta. The tragedy that not only shattered the buiding itself but also the dream of thousands fan who wanted to see United players train and play right in front of their eyes.

It was a devastated blow for everybody not only the fan but also the sponsors especially. They lost a huge amount of money and some dignity. It was not on their willing but United cancel the trip for the safeguard of their player-rightly so- since they are planned to stay in one of the hotel.

Anyway, United showed some appreciation and condolence during their second match againts Malaysia XI when they supposedly play Indonesian All Stars in Jakarta.

I just want to say, please come to Jakarta sometime and thank you for the appreciation..

It was all about the FIRST

Boca Juniors 1-2 Manchester United

That is how the match ended in the first semi final of the Audi Cup 2009. You might guessing that United goal scorer probably came from Owen, Rooney or Berba -whose all scored goal on the pre-season so far. Then you would be wrong because United goals scored by "veteran" and by a debutan whom both scored their first goal for the club.

United came out strong on the first half eventhough both team played "cool" and calm but United showed plenty of determinism and willing to score. Meanwhile Boca relied heavily on their playmaker, former Barca man, Riquelme which they struggled to cope in the first half. United's opener came from a freekick and it was ANDERSON who stroke a beautiful left footed shot passed Abondazieri. It was his first open-played goal for United and he did some dancing to celebrate. United then kept the pressure and it was rewarded with the second goal from the new boy from Ecuador, his name is ANTONIO VALENCIA. Rooney passed the ball to him and he skip passed two defenders before launch a shot that should have been saved by the keeper. Anyway, who cares???It was his first game and he scored his first goal.

Boca then scored a goal in the early exchage of the second half and wow it was a great goal. They got lucky on right flang but it was a great cross from the right hand side and finished off with a volley on the left side that left Kuscak with no chance.

United defended well for the rest of the match and win it to have the right to play the host, Bayern on today's final. Bayern meanwhile trashed Milan 4-1 on the second semi-final.

What a final it will be if these two play "seriuosly"..

The New away Kit

Like the club's new red and white home strip, the black kit features a special commemorative tag at the side of the shirt and large chevron across the chest, reflecting the design of the shirts worn by United when the team won its first FA Cup in 1909.

The black shorts have a blue stripe along the side, a red devil graphic on the back of the waist band, while the draw cords feature 'MUFC' on the tips. The black socks have a blue chevron on the calf.

The Reds will don the kit for the first time during Thursday's Audi Cup match in Germany against either AC Milan or Bayern Munich. And Patrice Evra says the players are all looking forward to running out in their new attire.

Preview: Audi Cup 2009

Next stop for United is the Audi Cup 2009 in Munich, Germany. It is part of the team pre-season tournament. There will be four teams competing here, the host Bayern, Boca Juniors, Milan and United. The red devil will face Boca Juniors on 29th of July and after that Bayern will play Milan. The rule is simple. Both winners face down on the final, the losers face each other for the third place play-off.

What are the odds for United?I think that as United face Boca first, it means that the challenge will not come any easier. Boca did not perform well back home, but they always proved to be a handful everytime United played them including the last time they played around 4 years ago or so.

South American team seems to have the ability to troubled the European side and it has been the case time and time again. The European side might well come out as the eventual winner but seldomly done it the easy way. If United keep the tempo they played for the most part of their Asia Tour, maybe Boca will fit that quite nicely. United must avoid conceded first in order to avoid Boca control the rhytim and slow the pace down. They must attack and score first and make sure they can have a grip on the match. Otherwise Boca will prove to be a pain in the neck.

Supposing they made it through to the final, it will be exciting if they can played againts Bayern. I would like to see how Frank RIbery played againts the team that has been trying to get him so bad.Maybe it will turn out to be a transfer afterward just like what happen to Ronaldo back in 2003.Who knows...

Thats a WRAP!!

Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 has come to an end. The last match of the tour was played in China, where United trased local side, Greentown by eight goals to two. It was an enjoyable match to watched as United stars turned on a great show especially Berba whose skills and dancing has mesmarize the spectetators and million watching at home.
Owen has also showed a great performance last night. He scored two goals and one of which were a beauty. Berbatov set him up stylishly and he controlled the ball on his chest before scoring with a half-volley from the edge of the penalty box. Great goal and what an exciting player to watch. Will it be a re-born Owen next season?Only time will tell.
The living legend, Ryan Giggs scored a hat-trick on the second half. The first two was a goal at the highest order meanwhile the third was quite a formality. The 35 year old man from Wales has proved that he still got it and he is not done yet at least for another season.
The only concern was Ben Foster. He conceded two goals and he did not looked too convincing along the tour. He made a blunder againts Malaysia XI on the first match and came on as substitute last night and conceded two. The second goal conceded after his past was carelessly taking care by a tired Fabio, but I just think he still got some work to do considering that Van Der Sar will retire on the season after the next one. So, he better becareful because Tomasz has set his aim of playing more regular first team match.
So, the tour has been done. The good think was that fans got to see their favorite players while United could added their fund on their account. In terms of football side, their appereances in the far east could help raise the level of football in this part of the world. The class, well let say that to be fair, only Seoul FC gave them something to think about apart from the first shaky match in KL. Other than that I think United showed professionalism and lifting up to their reputation.
They cancelled their trip to Jakarta and what a dissapointment it was for the fans. Jakarta has a huge United fan base but a five seconds bomb has taken away the dream of millions from many months back.
Now, United are heading to Munich for the Audi cup where they will face Boca Juniors. Great prospec and it will be a great test for United. Boca might not be as strong as they used to be, but south american team always proved to be a test for a european team when they meet. So, we will be looking forward to that.
Thank you for a great weeks in Asia and please come again including to Jakarta. Glory Man.United.

Lets talk about the new Kit

New Season New home kit!

United had revealed their new home kit for the next season. It was the one inspired by the Old Trafford comemoration after a century of servinf the club.

Red is still the coulor of the kit. A "V" stripe is on the chest part of the kit with Nike logo and club eneblem still right where it supposed to be. AIG logo still the main sponsor at least for this season as the AEO logo will replace the "contrversial" insurance company's logo started next season.

The real sense i got from this new kit is optimism. I think the new kit showed great sign of promise that United will still do something next season and hopefully win something. I would like them to win another BPL title and UCL title along the way. The desing looks more futuristic in my opinion. It symbolises the energy of the players. It looks cool but elegant in someway. What is lacking for me is desing on the backside. I think they should keep the litle stripe on the neck and on the down side of the kit as of last season. I think it looks strong and give a sense of confidence.

Well, get the new kit it is available in your local Nike store started from 16 of july 2009.

So MANY to catch up

Its been a while since i last wrote.Anyway, there were so much going on surrounding the club. Where to start??let see..New signing probably will be the best place to start.

Michael Owen, Gabriel Obertan and Valencia. There are three players United have sign this summer ahead of the pre-season tour 2009. Obertan, a young and talented frenchmen is quite a surprise signing after they failed to sign Benzema and Ribery. Just don't get me wrong, this young prodigy is a player woth silky touch but lighting speed. He played well and scored a goal againts England U-21 earlier this year and has been a figure for Bordeaux last season. A loan spell to lower league side has not made him shine-off from the spotlight. United's scout has keep close eye on this player for quite sometime. Now, with his signature secure, United are looking to maximize the talent and hopefully he will contribute a lot for United. He won't be in action until October due to slight injury. Meanwhile, the other two are not new to the world of football. Owen and Valencia could be something for United considering the fact that these two are still hungry for title.

Asia Tour 2009 has been marked by a tragedy. Just two days before United scheduled arrival in Jakarta, a bomb blast at the Ritz Charlton hotel and JW Marriot in the capital city of Indonesia. Later that day, United rep. David gill and Sir Alex said that they have CANCEL the plan to go to Jakarta and played againts Indonesia All Star. What a tragedy!! I would like to send my deepest condolence to all the friends and families of those affected. I was also extremely dissapointed by United's decision to cancel their trip to Jakarta. It was a headache for the LOC but as SAF said, it was the best decision they could take regarding the situation. Who ever did it, it has broke millions of football lovers in Jakarta and Indonesia after a promising period that was said United will not only came here to play but also conducted a lot of activity with kids and media. It was set to be a great time for Indonesia people to show the world that we are a save country but 5 seconds blast has destroy months of preparation!what a shame!!

Instead of travelling to Jakarta, United decided to play two matches againts Malaysia XI. Two match with a very different approach, result and style of play.

During the first match, United started brightly but played poorly after the first twenty minutes only thanks to Owen late strike that helped United to a 2-3 victory with both goal conceded thanks to Van der sar and Foster blunder. Nothing really interesting during the match except the instroduction of Owen the fantastic goal by Malaysian player with Rooney's kinda shot from long range.

To "replace" the 20th of July match between United vs Indonesian All star, they played the second game againts the same opposition with 10 changes made from the first match. Owen and Macheda started upfront, and stroke two early goal to gave United a comfortable 0-2 win. There were difference on the spectator numbers from the first to the second match. Once again, a shame!!Had UNited came to Jakarta that day, there will be a full-house at th GBK Stadium with over 90 thousand supporters watching the defending English champion. I was so so dissapointed.

Now, United are on their way to Seoul to play a friendly match againts Seoul FC on Friday. It wil be adifficult task with Korean team as they are probably one of the best team in Asiaand played in one of the best Asian league, the K-League. It won't be a walk in the park for United, with the weather a lot friendlier to them but opponent of a world-class standard. What a match it will be..

After that, United will go back to Europe, to compete on Audi cup in Germany and then a friendly match againts Valencia at Old Trafford before the Community Shield game againts Chelsea at Wembley. A busy pre-season with the lost of ROnaldo and Tevez looming large ahead of the new season.

The real question now, How United will cope without Ronaldo and Tevez???

Owen SIGN For United

What a SHOCK!!

Just after the confirmation that Benzema has choose Madrid instead of ManU, the news broke in.
Michael Owen, once a promising and prodigy of English football sign a two-year contract deal with United.

After Newcastle relegated to the championship football next season, Owen became a free-agent, so there were no fee involve on this transfer. Maybe it was the right gamble for Sir Alex considering the fact that United need replacement for Ronaldo and also Tevez.

Owen, who started his carrerr at United's rival Liverpool, was once a highly rated player after his performance on the 98 World Cup in France when he scored a memorable goal againts Argentina. In 2001, he was also part of Liverpool team that revive back after "long-sleep" including winning the UEFA cup title. In 2004, Owen joined the club that i hated the most today, Real Madrid, with all sort of promises. But injuries and lack of appereance made him a house hold name on the bench, he moved to Newcastle after one season with the Spanish "giant". From 04 to 09, he played for Newcastle 71 times scoring 26 goals on the process, proving that he still got the instinct to score goal. His downside was his injuries, especially after suffering a knee injury on the WC 06. He failed to keep Newcastle on the BPL next season and rumour said that he will joined Hull, before United stole him from them.

So, now Owen will wear the Red of United.

Welcome to OT and please bring us GOALS.

Close to United

According to goal.com, the 21 year old striker from France is getting closer to join United.

His teammate said that Karim is set to join United this summer. Last week, there were news stated that Lyon is keen to keep the young prodigy at least until next year's World cup.

But, it is believed that Benzema has nothing againts United that will keep him not to sign for the newly crown BPL champions.

The young hot striker has been linked with moved to top European clubs over the last two seasons or so.

Young, quick, predatory instinct, and clinical finishing touch are some appealing that will United keep chasing Benzema. After Ronaldo and Tevez set to leave OT, Benzema has to be a priority for United in order to keep United's goal scoring habit next season.

I Rejected Barcelona, Milan & Real Madrid

Those one simple sentence means a lot for me and arguebly for all United fans all over the globe.

The best United last seasons revealed that he had rejected offers from Europe's best clubs including Real, Barca and Milan.

The Serbian decide to stay at United until his contract expires on 2012 after a talk with SAF just after he received offer from those three clubs.

The consequences with his stay is that he will receive raise on his wage to 70.000 pounds a week! Surely he worth that amount of money.

Good decision Vidic.

Welcome Valencia

Finally,

United has finally made their first signing this summer as Ecuadorian Striker, Antonio Valencia joins United on an undisclosed fee.

The 23 year old winger has been linked with moved to United after an impressive two seasons at the JJB stadium. He might not scored that many goal for Wigan, but his skill and pace might be the one part of his game that will contributed so much to United.

He is still young and still have time to adopt to United's playing style and combine well wtih the likes of Rooney, Berba, and Nani. With Ryan Giggs is on the twilight of his playing day, Valencia maybe the one to replace him with Nani also on the list.

Lets hope that the expectation towards him will not be as high as the one Berba received last season. Considering that Berba either did not get chance to perform or really did not perform, maybe Valencia could have otherwise.

Valencia, WELCOME to the Theater of dreams..

Now Tevez.Who's next?

Carlos Tevez is leaving United.

It is being confirm and it might not be a very good news for fans. Just last week, United offer him a permanent deal with a salary that will make him the highest-paid player at OT.Unfortunately, it did not worked out and the Argetinian decided to leave.

So,thank you for a fantastic couple of years Carlitos. Wish you the best in the future..

Asia Tour without Ronaldo. Is it worth it??

Towards the end of last season, I was so thrilled to hear the news that United will come to visit my country,Indonesia on July 20th. I was quickly turn to the internet to see where I can find the ticket to watch them play live against Indonesian all-star. I want to watch Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov, and co, running around the Senayan pitch, which is the biggest stadium in Indonesia. But.....

Only a week ago, I read that Ronaldo will be laving to Real!!Wow,.

Then I suddenly think that, is it worth my money to watch them train and play without CR7??

I certainly think so. Why??Simple.
I am a UNITED fan NOT CR7 fan.

I would like to say to all United fans in Indonesia that we must see Red Devils live even without Ronaldo. United will taste glory more in years to come.

Ronaldo leaving??who cares..United will come anyway.

Bojan Krkic

I read this morning on Manutd.com, that United is currently put a scout eye on predigest young talent from Spain, Bojan Krkic. It seems like that United really interested on signing the young talent.

Barca's young midfielder has been catching the attention of football fans after an impressing few seasons with the Catalan club. Last season, Bojan still under the shine star of Lionel Messi. He did not appear regurarly, but often impressed everytime he got the chance.

So, how is United prospect on signing the Spanniard??

Key moment: He struggled to make an impression here, but I saw him for Spain U21s against Belgium. He got the ball just inside their half, created space and then cracked a shot past the goalkeeper. Strengths: He has many; particularly a devastating mix of speed and agility, much like Lionel Messi, which allows him to go past players with ease. Bojan also has immense power in his shots and can score from a variety of positions. Weaknesses: Needs to learn when to pass and when to shoot, but decision-making is an asset that comes with experience. Suitability: With Berbatov up front, Bojan and Rooney could take up wide positions. I'd love to see them link up together. Estimated cost: Being at Barcelona, he might be difficult to prise away from the Nou Camp. But if we to pay the money and offer first-team opportunities, a fee of around £20million could get our man. It's a high price, but I think he'll soon become one of the best players in the world and would be a great asset.

Money oo Money..

The season has ended, then its time to spend. United so far has not made any signing yet. but expected to sign Ecuador's Valencia in the next few days. Meanwhile, Ronaldo potential departure of 80 M pound, has open the gate for United to buy more quality players.

I would like to suggest that United should by Frank ribery and Klauus jan huntellar, considering that Tevez are most likely to join City due to the permanent deal pending. Ribery would help United strenghten their defense. He is not selfish(unlike the no.7) and he would give boost of energy in midfield. Huntellar would give United goals even tough he is not a regular goal scorer, but he is still young and will improve whereas Berba is on his 28 and looks like did not contribute at all. Maybe Benzema would also be a great choice. His predatory instinct is needed to score goal. A player like Yaya toure whose strong, hard worker is also wha united need. Two young Serbians must quickly adopted to English style football because they are extremely talented. Two or three more defenders will be good for United. Ferdinand is on his 30 now, so United better start to look for replacement.

Overall, United has a great team, but still lack of quality to hit high quality oponent on a BIG game..

C'mon SAF, spend spend spend,.

Vidic:I'm NOT leaving

A simple word that would mean so much for United fan. Let CR7 go, he wanted to go. I don't really care. In my opinion, United achievement of winning BPL was contibuted so much by the great form from their defence. Van der sar broke British record of clean sheets. It helped United a lot, considering the face that United did not really perform againts the big four last season. No worries!!

Vidic was outstanding last season, except that forgettable night in Rome where Rio and Vidic was not performed at their best.

Vidic to stay??Yes.

Shocking but NOT surprising

Finally.......

CR7 will play for Real Madrid next season.

The news did not surprised me at all.The saga has been going round and round over the last two or three seasons. Madrid has been constantly try to get the 2008 World Player of the year. It was no surprises even more with the fact that Ronaldo act so unprofessional after being subtituted againts City few months ago.

For me, Ronaldo would be nothing without United and SAF. He was only a teenager 6 years ago when he was bought for 12.24 m. This year, he will be sold for 80 m!!!A figure that I think show just how well United train a talent. I just dont think Ronaldo will be like he is right now if he doesn't play for United. He helped United win Champions league last season, but he wasn't the hero. So, for me, United must buy players with 80 m.Spend it on Ribery, Huntellar, Benzema, etc.

NO PLAYERS IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB ITSELF!!

We will move on without CR7......

CHAMPION

United are the 2008/2009 Barclays Premier league Champion. 18 and still counting..Rome..Here we come

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

ONE more

ONE Point. It is all that United needs to retain their premier legue title this season and to win three in a row.

A vital 2-1 victory away to Wigan last night was a huge relief for United on their pursue of the record 11th premier league title and 18 on overall title to goes level with Liverpool.

Wigan took an early lead on the first half after an unfortunate slip by Vidic.
On the second half, United pressed Wigan and got their reward right on hour-mark with a goal by Carlitos. A freak goal but United will take it. He used his right foot to scored with a flick and it was a funny but good goal. Then 4 minutes from time, Carrick scored a very good left-footed strike to the right corner of Wigan's goal. They were all looked tired towards the end, especially Ronaldo who squared a pass to Rooney on the process of the second goal. Was it a sign that he will leave United???I hope it won't be the case.

Finally, ONE more point needed. It will be a tricky task but I am sure United have a great chance to retain their title and they will do it.

A Date with Barca..

Two second leg matches, two very different match.

United were looking very confidence coming to their match againts Arsenal two nights ago. Coming to the Emirates with one goal advantage gave United a little breathing space before the Kick-off but as the whistle blew, Arsenal were looking sharp in the opening five minutes. Only to be stopped by two early goals by Park Ji-Sung and Ronaldo respectively. Both goals seems to came in a help of two Arsenal players even though the second goal was a rocket by Ronaldo. It stunt the Arsenal fans and manager as they seems to disbelieve of what they see in the Emirates. Ronaldo then scored the third goal before Van Persie scored the penalty goal for Arsenal late in the match. So, it was a fairly comfortable win for United with 4-1 aggregate result.

But, last night encounter between Chelsea againts Barcelona was a different story. Goalless draw at Nou Camp gave Chelsea the slight advantage before last night clash at Stamford Brigde. Michael Essien scored a stunning volley - and I really mean stunning- as early as the ninth minutes. Several penalty claimed by Chelsea as minimun as five of them but they were all denied by the Reff's decision. It seems to haunted them back as on the 93rd minutes, Andreas Iniesta scored the equalizing goal to give Barca a date with United later this month. The Barca bench were exploded as Chelsea fans were confuse whether this really happen or just a dream.

Many pundit and blogger said Chelsea were unlucky last night especially with the possibilities of Penalty. It might proved to be a great deal for Chelsea as they were fail to make it through.Mean while on Tuesday, a refferee from Italy also made an error-in my opinion- when he sent off Fletcher during the second half of United vs Arsenal. The more you see the replay, you will see that Darren got the ball-off Fabregas with the slightest of touch only for Fabregas to dive to convince the Reff. Lets hope United will give appeal to UEFA to allow Darren to play on the final as he was a star on both leg of their semi final matches.

This is it...

Manchester United vs Barcelona on 27th May 2009 in Rome.

Booked you ticket to be a witness who will be the King of Europe this year.

Almost there..

Another crucial three points were gain last night as United beat a troubled Boro side at the Riverside stadium by two goals to zero. Goals for United scored by the newly voted PFA player of the year, Ryan Giggs and Park Ji-Sung both in eachside of half time. This victory has really put United hands firmly on they title if they can win the rest of the matches left including one tricky match againts Arsenal at OT.

Boro who always caused troubled for United in the last few seasons just could not cope with the superiority of the champion. A bad defensive display has let Giggsy got the ball on the edge of the box without any marking what so ever. Giggs launched a left-footed shot that left Boro's goalkeeper standing. The veteran whose still going strong really still has the desire on winning the title as he always been there for United on the last 15 years or so.

Quite different with Giggs' goal, South Korean player Park scored a quite comfortable goal also with left foot after an exquisite move by United involving Scholes, Macheda, Giggs and Rooney. Park made a run through the heart of Boro's defense and stroke it first time. It was a great goal...

There is nothing else United should do but keep this run of form going and do not let any slip up. They are still have City and Arsenal to played so there is still chance that they will slip and lost their grip.

Arsenal were low of Ammo,.

I could not believe it that United played realy well last night. I expected too play good but not that great after a tough time at the weekend. They started the first half like a thunder and stroke the first goal on the 17th minute by John O'Shea.

The rest is history.

United dominated the procedding and made the gunners like an amateur. Arsenal tried to attack with so little effect. They were keep at bay and threw everything with their substitutions. I don't know wheter this was their plan or it just the fact that they could not cope with the experience United have on this level. Especially..that strike on the second half by Ronaldo which hit the bar so hard. Almunia just stood and hope..What interesting was that last night Tevez seems to refused and look dissappointed when he was subtituted by Berba. Tevez did play good last night even though he lost ball on occasion but overall he played hard and good. Mean while, Fletcher and Carrick were superb on the middle of the park. The key point for United last night was that they always cut Arsenal attack on the middle. United defense seems to be able to stopped Walcott from making any impresion. Rooney were quite busy last night helping up Evra. Job well done though.

Well,.the most important player of all is John O'Shea. The unsung hero at OT did it again. What a crucial goal it was. It seems like he just swing his right foot and beat Almunia. Thanks to a very poor defending by Arsenal.

Wow..just like last season when United beat Arsenal on the FA cup, only this time they did not score that many goal.

Anyway, what the second leg will be like??
maybe United will play a different game compare to last night.Maybe they should not trying to defend this advantage all 90 minute. They have to try to hit Arsenal whenever they can and make it count. Otherwise.....I hope not.

Here we go AGAIN

English clubs RULE Europe..Not its national team of course..

Just like last season, Barcelona faced an English club on the semi final of the Champions league. Last time it was MU- who came out as the eventual winner- this year is Chelsea. Last night on the first leg, the final result was the same as United last year on the Nou camp, goalless draw. Chelsea had the bigger chance of making it to the final as they will play at Stamford bridge for the second league.

With United will play Arsenal tonight, there will be a huge possibilities that we are going to see an All English final AGAIN fot the second year in the row.

huuuufff.
It was good for United fans and english fans but it might not be too good for the football lovers all over Europe and around the world.

English clubs are bigger than the National Team.!!!!

Preview: United vs Arsenal

Its UEFA Champions League night,

After playing a very intense match last weekend, now United must turn their attention once again to the Champions league where they will face Arsenal on the first leg of the all-english semi final at OT.

What are the odds??

As far as I concern, I think Arsenal is in a good form coming to this match after a 2-0 win over Boro last Sunday with braces from Cesc. Arshavin is in a good form as well, not too mention Nasri,Walcott, and Adebayor. Arsenal do have the threat and will be a great threat for United as always. United must not start this match as they did againts Porto at OT. United must be aware of their threat from the wings with Walcott and Arshavin occupied these two sides. Arsenal on the other hand, do have a quite funerable defensive line. With Silvestre and Toure on the middle of the park, United can exploite these two players as they both are rarely convincing on defence. United must go for it.

Well, It is a big game after all. United has already lost a match to Arsenal earlier this season at Emirates. So, who will win this first of three meeting in as many days.

Dejavu

Tottenham Hotspurs  3 - 5 Manchester United....

Do you still remember that scoreline??

Yes.It was a final score of a quite legendary United comeback againts spurs in 2001. At White Hart Lane, United were 3-0 down at half-time to a very decent looking Spurs' side. Goals from Richard, Ferdinand, and Ziege stunt United.

But as always, United stroke back at the second half, with Beckham scoring the fifth goal.
So,
Last night probably was a very similiar match to that one in 2001 but not quite the exact.
I don't know what Sir Alex told his boys at half-time during the two occasions, but it ceratintly worked.

Are we there YET??

Another 3 points last night, takes United to the top of the table once again, with two games in-hand. A very inspirational play from United on the second half, especially from Wazza has stunt Spurs. After a very much quite first half from United, they came out that dressing room and "killed" Spurs once and for all.

Two goals for United, by Rooney and Berba respectively was not the cleanest of goal. But..who cares???it is still counted after all. Overall, I think the second half performance was the kind of performance that I really expected United to show for the next four aor five games including three matches againts Arsenal. They played with hunger, desire, and POWER. Most important of all, they played LIKE A CHAMPION!!

A Nervous 3 Points!!

Yeeeeeeeeeeees...

We moved three points clear last night with a nervous victory over The Pompey at OT.
Rooney scored the goal at the beginning on the first half and Carrick scored the second 8 minutes before the end. With Liverpool drew the night before and Chelsea drew againts Everton. This situation really favoured us to win the tittle for the recod 11th time.

The only concern will be about Arsenal. They played well and in such a high confidence coming a busy date with United..

April and May will be a crucial month on the title race. If United can keep winning while Liverpool and Chelsea keep slipping, then we will get our trophy again...

Watch out for Arshavin!!

Last night BPL match between Liverpool and Arsenal could be the end of hibernation time for a "bear" from Russia in the name of Arshavin. He scored all four goals for Arsenal in the 4-4 draw at Anfield. At least one of which was a great goal.

What it means for United??

I think ahead of their semi-final clash in the UCL, United must really be aware and worry about the threat that Arshavin could cause United. He might still have a lack of consistency, but he could show some great display of skill and finish just like last night. He has good movement, speed and control on the ball. United have to keep an close eye on him just like want they want to do to Fabregas, Nasri and Adebayor.

Dear oh Dear Sir Alex & Berba

Last night FA cup semi-final againts Everton, arguably one of the most boring match that United has played this season. They started the match with mostly reserve team with the likes of Macheda, Wellback, Fabio, Gibson and Rafael. They did not get to their rhytim straight away but as the match goes on they did get to it. But unfortunately United attacking prodigy was not to be decisive last night. In fact, it took a penalty-shootout to decide who will play Chelsea on the final.
But, my real concern last night was not about the team selection in particular because it seems like they had cope really well with Everton first team. I am concern about Berbatov's penalty kick. United bought hin for almost 30 million pound and you have got to be a some player if you cost United that much. But then last night, he took the first penalty for United and then........like a girl who kick the ball slowly and gently. What a bad penalty it was. For a striker of his quality and height, it was so bad that I could not believe.
Why Sir Alex choose him to be the first taker??Tevez was the ussual suspect for it and he was available last night.Dear oh dear......
Maybe United are tired of facing Chelsea or maybe they did not want the FA cup...Only Sir Alex knows

Is it Possible??

A victory againts Porto has sent United through to the Semi Final with Arsenal as their next opponent. It is set to be a mouth-watering match in prospect for both team as they face each other for the first in the UCL. Will United overcome the gunners??

If they do, United will be totally on-track to achieve what many feels impossible by winning five trophies in a season because we are still alive in the FA cup and BPL.

I think it will be quite a task but who knows. United were always capable of pulling out some spectacular result and makes the impossible happen.

Another 3 English Clubs on The Semi

AMAZING!!

That is all i can say after watching last night match between Chelsea againts Liverpool. A 4-4 draw was an amazing scoreline regarding the history between theses two in the recent seasons of Champions league. Liverpool played a great football with fantastic goal scored. Chelsea on the other hand came to this match with a strong 3-1 lead from the first leg. But....The Kop seems really confidence last night only loosing to their own defensive display last night. With Barcelona also made it through to the last four, Chelsea will be the one to face them. My question will be if United win the match tonight and Arsenal also made it trough it will be another 3 English club on the semi for second year in the row. I dont think it will be good for football but what can i say.I think almost all good and great players nowadays are prefering to have a carrrer in England. That is why they are so strong.

When will the English national team can turn to be as strong as the clubs that play in England especially the big fours???

Repeating 1998/1999

10 years ago was probably the most wonderful season in Manchester United history. Exactly in 1998/1999 season, we finish the season with 3 trophies and famously called the treble season. We won EPL,FA cup and Champions league. The drama of that season were pretty much priceless even until now.

Today, after a decade, 2008/2009 season could be and maybe will be the season when United could repeat that sweet memory. In fact, United are now still competing on three competition which are BPL, FA cup and UCL. With FIFA club world cup and Carling cup title are already on the trophy cabinet, can United win the other 3 and make a history by wining five trophies in a season.
Will they do it????

any comment??

Preview: Porto vs ManUtd

Manchester United squad has arrived at Portugal to play a "very"confidence Porto side on the second leg of the quarterfinal of Champions League tomorrow night. After a 2-2 draw a week ago on the first leg, United will be looking to streghten their defensive line to avoid conceding the first goal because if that happen there will be a mountain to climb for the Red Devils.
United arrived in Portugal with their full team and looking to hit Porto right from the first whistle. In my opinion, what United should do is that they must try to play in a lot more compose way compare to the first leg. They must try to keep the ball more rather that clumsily giving it away to the opponent because to be honest, I think Porto were very dangerous on the counter attack and they also have the tendency on keeping the ball well and then attacked United effectively. Also, United must really really convert any good chance to goal because playing away from home will be a very tough task let alone getting too many clear cut chances. So, take the chance befor it haunted them back. If United are not careful, they might well end up loosing the match and kicked out of this season Champions league.

As a loyal United fan, I always hope for the best for The Red Devils and hopefully they can become the first team to retain the title successfully...

Goooo Man U.....

Macheda,New Wonder Kid???

Federico Macheda,

Who would've thought that this 17 years old striker from Rome would be a hero for United when he scored an injury time goal againts Villa last week. Personally, I never heard or even know him before. But then just like lighting from the sky,.Boooom...He stroke the ground not only once but twice. Because last night he scored another goal for United againts Sunderland deflecting Carrick's shot to the back of the net with his second touch.So,.....will Macheda be The New Wonder Kid at OT or just an "instant" wonder kid??

Thats the qustion that I think spinning around United fans right now. Frankly, I think he could be a great player if he can keep playing well instead of got carried away with his current momentum. He hasn't show his entire playing skill as a striker but I think he could become the new "predator" at OT.

go Kiko!!
